This was clearly the best game of the week. Since I predicted that Dallas was going to go to the NFC Championship, this game had me in fits. I never was a Dallas fan or a Romo fan, so that added to my anxiety watching Dallas' inept play early on. The supposed best O-line in the NFL was getting schooled by arguably the best front four in the game. However, Dallas made a game of it, taking the lead for the first time late, thanks to that pass interference reversal, and then helped to provide an exciting ending to the game.
Just a note on the play in the fourth quarter before the two-minute warning - when Matthew Stafford fumbled the ball and DeMarcus Williams recovered, Detroit became the defense. When Williams fumbled and Detroit recovered, the Detroit defense gets the credit. So both defenses received a point on that play.
After the wild card games, Bjorn Werner and I are tied for first place with 115 points, which is great for us. However, our teams have lost the most amount of players, so this tournament is still very wide open. Next in the standings is James Carter, dropping from first, with 99 points. Overall, everyone is still in this, especially if there are teams loaded with number one and number two seeded players who did not play this weekend. So, anything can still happen. Good luck!
Here are the stats for the game:
