This was a terrible game. This game exemplified why the lowest-seeded, least sexy game is the first playoff game; football fans are excited for the playoffs to begin, so excited that they will watch anything. However, the game is such that if you miss it, oh well. In this game, Arizona didn't look ready for prime time. At all. Historically bad. However, Carolina didn't really look like they wanted to win this game either. With their sloppy play on offense and special teams, the Panthers are not going to make it past the next round at all.
After game one, Laura Phillip takes the lead with 16 points, wisely choosing the AZ DST and Jonathan Stewart, two players that actually did something. Jason Kearney is in second with 11 points, thanks to two Carolina players. There is a three-way tie for third, including John LeDoux, who won the tournament last year.
